Tim Baulk has extensive experience in coaching at multiple levels in women's basketball. His experience is solid within the post secondary system having served as the assistant women's basketball coach at York University from 1995-2002 and also as an assistant a year prior at McMaster University.
2010-11 was a bounce back year for the Lords as they started the season with a 6-0 conference record and qualified for the OCAA post season.
Emphasizing results on the court and in the classroom, Coach Baulk's players have earned a number of awards. In 2009, Meaghan O'Reilly, Erin Emery, Samantha Jansen and Jessica Newton achieved national recognition receiving SIRC-CCAA Academic All-Canadian awards. The SIRC-CCAA Academic All Canadian Award is the CCAA's most prestigious student-athlete award, epitomizing their mandate of recognizing excellence in academics and athletics
Kelsey Hare, Erin Emery, Samantha Jansen, Jessica Newton and Meaghan O'Reilly also won provincial recognition awards under Baulk's leadership while the DC Athletes of the Year from 2009 to 2010 were been members of the women's basketball team.
He is certified at the highest NCCP level in basketball and is no stranger to the local and provincial basketball circles residing in Brooklin, Ont. and having coached several years in the provincial club program system.
His background in coaching has also included provincial and national scope where he was the head coach of the women's under 15 provincial team from 2001-2003, winning the National Championship in 2003 and a 2001 Canada Summer Games silver medal with the under 19 provincial team.
Baulk also served as Basketball Ontario's Manager of Elite Development in 2000 and will use his experience to recruit student athletes to Durham College.
He is a graduate of McMaster University in 1995 (Honours Kinesiology), a Faculty of Ed grad from Lakehead University in 1998, and later obtained his Masters at York University in Kinesiology. He is currently teaching full-time at Richmond Hill High School.
