Coach Rowley is a welcomed addition to the coaching staff as
he returns to the Lords after serving two years as an Associate
Coach under Ernie Armstrong in 1988 & 1999; having Coach
Rowley with the program is a major boost. The veteran high school
coach in Metro Toronto led the vaunted Eastern Commerce program
to countless Championships and OFSAA success. His ability to
recruit, energize and teach the game is going to bring great
benefits to the Lords. A true Champion, Coach Rowley will bring
that winning attitude to the program.

Coach Gordon will enter his 10th season as head coach
of the Lords men’s basketball program with high expectations
and high hopes of continuing the program’s its annual contender
status.
The Lords are used to being in contention, historically
in the OCAA and recorded their most impressive run from 1993 to
1998 where the team registered 5 straight 20 win seasons, 3 Championship
medals, and Ontario Championship and a National Championship title
in 1997.
Coach Gordon, a local star in High school when he
attended O’Neill Collegiate was a highly decorated player
at the University of Prince Edward Island. Recognized as one of
Canada’s best players in his CIS days, the star point guard
was named a CIS All-Canadian three (3) times and more recently he
had the prestigious honour of being the first person inducted into
the UPEI University Sports Hall of Fame.
He has been very active in promoting amateur basketball
and organizing tournaments on a yearly basis, including the longtime
DC Senior Boys High School Classic (former Oshawa Times Classic).
He has also continued to seek out professional development opportunities
as a coach, by traveling to camps and clinics in the United States.
One of the OCAA’s promising young coaches,
Coach Gordon is looking forward to a highly successful year in 2007-08
and would like nothing better than to raise a Championship banner
to the rafters at Durham College, in the city he grew up in.
