DC Golfers win double gold at Niagara

Men’s Champion - David Lang – Durham
Women’s Champion – Kayleigh Kraemer – Durham

NIAGARA FALLS, Ont. - Durham College golfers came away with double gold at the Niagara Invitational on Wednesday as David Lang and Kayleigh Kraemer won the individual titles.
 
Lang shot a 5-under 67 at the tournament, finishing one stroke ahead of Alex Dumais of Humber College.  Lang and Dumais were the only golfers to finish under par at the tournament.
 
On the women’s side, Kraemer won the individual title shooting a final score of 81. She beat Heather MacKenzie of St. Clair College by four strokes.
 
This marked the second straight year Kraemer won the Niagara Invitational title.
 
The tournament field was made up of OCAA championship contenders including student-athletes from Humber, Niagara, St. Clair, Georgian and George Brown.
 
This was the Lords only sanctioned invitational tournament that they took part in this season before heading into the OCAA championship which takes place at the Cornwall Golf and Country Club from October 3-5.
