Lords shutout York 12-0

CIBA Baseball: Durham defeated York 12-0

OSHAWA, Ont. – The Durham College baseball team wrapped up their season series with York on Tuesday night with a 12-0 shutout over the Lions.
 
Durham allowed only one hit on the night, as Richard Burke and Shawn Lamb combined to pitch five shutout innings in the win.
 
The Lords tallied 12 runs on nine hits over five innings, including nine in the first two. Troy McLoughlin and Steve Mitchell each went 2-for-3 at the plate combining for four runs and three RBI’s.
 
Durham is 12-2 on the season and in first place of the CIBA Ontario Conference. The team will wrap up their regular season on the road on Thursday against Humber College. The make-up doubleheader is scheduled for 2/4 p.m.
 
Games one and two of the CIBA semi-finals will take place on Saturday, October 8 at Kinsmen Memorial Stadium. The Lords opponent is to be determined after the conclusion of the regular season.
