Sheehan and Rogatinsky headline Durham College soccer award winners
TORONTO - Four members of the Durham College men’s and women’s soccer teams were named OCAA all-stars on Thursday night at the Championship Banquet held in Toronto.
Jenn Sheehan (Whitby, Ont.) and Chelsey Rogatinsky (Oshawa, Ont.) were named all-stars from the women’s team while Jelani De Jonge (Ajax, Ont.) and Duncan Mitchell (Pickering, Ont.) were honoured from the men’s team.
Sheehan was also honoured as the OCAA east region scoring champion while Rogatinsky was named the East Region’s top defensive player.
Sheehan (Whitby, Ont.) scored nine goals in seven matches for an average of 1.29 goals per game and Rogatinsky anchored the Lords defence which allowed only four goals this season for an average of .57 goals per game.
This is the second straight year Sheehan and De Jonge have been named an OCAA league all-stars. It is a first for both Rogatinsky and Mitchell.
