Lords women’s volleyball swept by Lancers

OCAA Women’s Volleyball: Loyalist defeated Durham 3-0 (25-19, 25-18, 25-28)

BELLEVILLE, Ont. – The Durham College women’s volleyball team failed to win their second straight match as they were swept by the Loyalist Lancers 3-0 on Wednesday night.

Set scores in the match were 25-19, 25-18 and 25-28.

The Lords could not find a way to stop Kirsten Talsma who had 15 points in the win including nine aces, four shy of the OCAA single game record.

Durham was led by Natasha Jakovljevic (Oshawa, Ont.) and Melissa Semeniuk (Ajax, Ont.) who had five points apiece in the loss.

Durham falls to 1-2 while the Lancers are perfect on the year sitting at 2-0.

The Lords next action is at home on Tuesday, November 15 as they take on the undefeated George Brown Huskies (3-0). Game time at the CRWC is 6 p.m.
