Lords drop a four set battle to Seneca
OCAA Women’s Volleyball – Seneca defeated Durham 3-1
NORTH YORK, Ont. – Durham College could not build momentum off an opening set win on Wednesday night as they dropped a 3-1 decision to the Seneca Sting in OCAA women’s volleyball action.
The Lords opened the game with a 25-23 win, but lost the next three sets by scores of 25-22, 25-17 and 25-20.
Ashley Mulholland and Laura Plahuta were Durham’s leading scorers with 10 points apiece, all of which were kills for both players.
The loss puts an end to Durham’s two-game winning streak as they fall to 6-11 on the year. Durham is in eighth place in the OCAA east region.
Durham’s regular season home finale is on Tuesday night as the Lords host Loyalist College (10-5). Game time for seniors night at the CRWC is at 6 p.m.
