Lords lose the top ranked Thunder
OCAA Men’s Volleyball: Algonquin defeated Durham 3-0 (25-21, 25-15, 25-22)
OTTAWA, Ont. – In a battle for top spot in the OCAA East Region, Durham College fell 3-0 to the Algonquin Thunder. Set scores in the match were 25-21, 25-15 and 25-22.
Algonquin improves to 9-0 on the year while the Lords fall to 6-2.
Jordan McFarlane had a breakout game for Durham recording a team high eight kills in the loss. Steve Clarey and Bradley Van Hartingsveldt had six points apiece.
The Lords defence was no match for the high-powered offence as they recorded only six digs.
Durham will look to rebound on Saturday when they take on the 5-3 La Cite Coyotes.
Durham’s final home game of 2011 is on Wednesday night as they host the Seneca Sting. Game time at the CRWC is 8 p.m.
