Coach Duggan at the World Championship: Team Canada remains in second place

ANTEQUER, Spain - Durham College golf head coach Mike Duggan is representing Team Canada at the 13th FISU world university golf championship in Antequera, Spain, from June 7 to 11, 2010 as an assistant coach.

Team Canada Report – Day Two

The Canadian men's golf team remains in a tie for second place at the FISU world university golf championship, along with round one leaders Taipei , both with team scores of 431. Spain jumped into first place after shooting 212 in round two, as they sit three strokes ahead of pack. Korea is in fourth place with a two day total of 440.

Garrett Rank of the University of Waterloo remains in first place, shooting a three-under par 69 in round two. Rank is three strokes ahead of Chun-Kang Hung ( Taipei ) who is in second place. Mitch Evanecz of the University of Victoria is in a tie for fifth place, six strokes back of the leader.

On the women's side, team Canada is in a tie for fifth place with Japan , sharing a two-day total of 313. Anne Balser of the University of Victoria is the top Canadian in 14 th place.

Round three begins on Thursday.
