Durham College athletics --- back on Rogers TV
- Campus Cup kicks-off the 2010-11 schedule -

OSHAWA, Ont. – Sports fans will once again have opportunity to catch the Durham Lords on TV as the Durham College athletic department and Rogers TV have agreed to broadcast a number of varsity events throughout the 2010/11 season.

“We are very excited to have Durham College athletics back on Rogers TV this season,” said Durham College athletic director Ken Babcock. “Their continued involvement with our varsity program speaks volumes of their commitment to amateur athletics across the Durham Region. With their amazing game day coverage, it gives us an excellent opportunity to showcase our campus and the quality of programs we have to offer.”

The soccer portion of the 2010/11 broadcast schedule has been released and will feature a number of great matchups. Coverage will kick-off with the ‘Campus Cup' which takes place at Vaso's Field on Thursday, September 9 at 6 p.m. The Campus Cup is an exhibition showcase that takes place during orientation week featuring Durham College and the UOIT Ridgebacks men's soccer teams.

The Lords men's and women's home openers against Fleming College (Saturday, September 25) will also be aired on Rogers TV. The Lords women's team is coming off an OCAA silver medal performance after setting the record most goals in a season last year. The Lords will look to start their 2010 season off right with a win over the Knights.

The regular season soccer schedule will wrap up with a pair of tough games against Seneca College on Wednesday, October 13. Last year, the Lords and Sting battled it out for the divisional crown on the women's side, which saw Durham edging out Seneca for the title. The men's game will also be very entertaining as the Sting come into the season as the defending CCAA National Champions.

Future broadcasts of varsity events including basketball, volleyball and playoffs will be announced at a later date.
