Durham College bounces back with a 3-1 win over La Cite
Men’s Soccer: Durham defeated La Cite 3-1
OSHAWA, Ont. – After suffering their first loss of the season last night against Algonquin College, the Durham College men's soccer team bounced back nicely with a 3-1 victory over the La Cite Coyotes Saturday afternoon.
With the win, Durham improves to 4-1-1 on the year and is sitting in first place in the Central East region over half way through their 11 game schedule.
The Lords spread out the scoring on Saturday as Trevor Del Pippo (Whitby, Ont.), Jordan Reeve (Pickering, Ont.) and Agya Oppong-Kyekyeku (Etobicoke, Ont.) all scored single goals for Durham in the win. Antoine Lalonde was the lone goal scorer for the Coyotes.
Durham will now travel to North York on Tuesday night for a pivotal match against the Seneca Sting. Seneca is 4-1-0 this season and sit one point behind the Lords for first place in the region. The Lords and Sting will return to Vaso's Field for a rematch on Sunday, October 4. Kick off is at 2 p.m.
