Durham College basketball provincially ranked heading into their home openers

OSHAWA, Ont. – With the Durham College varsity basketball home openers set to take place on Friday night, the men’s and women’s teams are making headlines early in the season as both teams are provincially ranked.

The Durham Lords men’s team (1-1 OCAA, 7-3 overall) are seventh in the OCAA rankings. The women’s team (2-0 OCAA, 3-4 overall) is ranked ninth in the province, jumping into the rankings after a 2-0 start to their regular season.

Both teams will be in action on Friday, November 6 as they will play Loyalist College in the Lords 2009-10 conference home openers. The women’s game will tip-off at 6 p.m. followed by the men’s game at 8 p.m.
