Durham drops a 97-91 decision to Fleming

Men’s Basketball: Fleming defeated Durham 97-91

PETERBOROUGH, Ont. – The Durham College men's basketball team dropped a hard fought 97-91 decision to Fleming College on the road.

This marks the fourth straight year that Durham has lost their conference match-up in Peterborough to the Knights. Their last win at Fleming College came on November 11, 2005 when the Lords won by a final score of 82-67.

Leading the Lords offense was Tyler McGarrity (Ajax, Ont.) who recorded his second straight double-double finishing with 20 points and 13 rebounds. Also in double figures for Durham was Tyler Pelley (Ajax, Ont.) and Eric Smith (Ajax, Ont.) who scored 18 and 17 points respectively.

Pickering native and Knights veteran Jovain Wilson led all scorers with 27 points.

The Lords are now 1-1 and will look to get back in the win column on Friday, November 6 when they will take on the Loyalist Lancers in their home opener. Tip-off at the Campus Recreation and Wellness Centre is at 8 p.m.
