Durham College pounds Boreal in men's volleyball
Men’s Volleyball: Durham defeated Boreal 3-0 (25-13, 25-13, 25-17)
OSHAWA, Ont. – It was all Durham College at the Campus Recreation and Wellness Centre on Saturday as the men’s volleyball team defeated the Boreal Viperes 3-0. Set scores were 25-13, 25-13, 25-17.
The Lords are 8-3 this season and sit in fifth place in the East region. Durham will try and complete the Sudbury sweep on Sunday as they host the Cambrian Golden Shield (5-8) at 2 p.m. The regional standings are tight with the top five teams separated by just six points.
Mike Goulding (Oshawa, Ont.) led the Lords in scoring on Saturday with 15 points in the match. Goulding finished with 11 kills and four blocks. James Mayer (Pentanguishene, Ont.) had 10 kills in the game along with nine digs while Steve Clarey (Baltimore, Ont.) had 10 points and 8 digs.
