Durham sweeps Seneca in volleyball action
Women’s Volleyball: Durham defeated Seneca 3-0 (25-10, 25-22, 25-19)
OSHAWA, Ont. – The Durham College women's volleyball team came out flying in their match against Seneca College on Wednesday night as they defeated the Sting 3-0. Set scores in the match were 25-10, 25-22, 25-19.
“The team played well tonight,” said head coach Shane Christopher. “We stayed calm and focused. We are really looking forward to the second half of the season.”
After suffering their only loss this season in November, the Lords have knocked off five straight 3-0 sweeps over their opponents.
The win improves the Lords record to 10-1 in conference action, sitting atop of the OCAA East Region. The team will look to have a strong second half to earn a bye to the OCAA Championship in February (top two teams in each region receive byes to the provincial championship).
Durham will now head to Toronto on Friday, January 15 for a match against George Brown College. The Lords defeated George Brown 3-0 earlier this year.
