Lords winning streak snapped at seven
Men’s Volleyball: Seneca defeated Durham 3-0 (25-20, 25-22, 25-22)
NORTH YORK, Ont. – Matched up against the undefeated Seneca Sting on Wednesday night, the Durham College men’s volleyball team could not come up with a winning formula as they were defeated 3-0. Despite the loss, all three sets were close finishing 25-20, 25-22 and 25-22.
The loss snaps Durham’s seven match unbeaten streak dating back to October 29, the Lords second game this season.
The Lords are now 7-3 in conference action and are four points behind the Algonquin Thunder for second place, but with two games in hand. The top two teams in the East Region earn a bye to the OCAA provincial championship in February.
Durham will have time to rest as their next game does not come until Saturday, January 23 at home against the Boreal Viperes. First serve at the CRWC is at 2 p.m.
