Lords Fall From Top Spot with a Loss to George Brown
Men's Soccer: George Brown defeated Durham 2-0
Oshawa, Ont. – Two nights after jumping into first place with a 3-2 win over Seneca College, the Durham Lords men’s soccer team fell to second place after a 2-0 defeat to the George Brown Huskies at Vaso’s Field on Friday night.
The Lords had a tough time producing any offense in their third loss of the year. All three defeats this season, Durham has failed to score a goal. Nikola Milosovic and Noel Ellerton were the goal scorers for George Brown.
Down 2-0 in the late stages of the game, Durham pressed hard to jump back into the game but failed to capitalize on any of their opportunities.
The Lords fall to 4-3-0 on the season while the defending OCAA silver medalist Huskies move to 4-1-1 and hold onto first place in the Central East Region. The two teams will meet in a rematch on Tuesday, September 30 @ George Brown College.
