Pelley named OCAA defensive player of the year – Smith receives all-star recognition - Mar. 4, 2010

LONDON, Ont. – The Ontario Colleges Athletic Association (OCAA) announced on Thursday that Tyler Pelley (Ajax, Ont.) of the Durham Lords men’s basketball team is the recipient of the 2009/10 OCAA defensive player of the year award. Pelley’s teammate Eric Smith ( Ajax, Ont.) also took home some hardware at the OCAA Championship banquet in London as he was named an east region first team all-star.

BARRIE, Ont. –The Ontario Colleges Athletic Association (OCAA) recently announced the women’s basketball award winners for the 2009-10 season at the championship banquet hosted by Georgian College. SUDBURY, Ont. – The Durham Lords women’s volleyball team pulled out a five set victory over the Sheridan Bruins on Friday afternoon to advance to the final day of the OCAA Championship in Sudbury. SUDBURY, Ont. – Allison Doris (Ajax, Ont.) of the Durham College women’s volleyball team recorded a game high 15 points but it wasn’t enough to lead the Lords to victory as they fell to the Fanshawe Falcons 3-1 in the opening round of the OCAA Championship in Sudbury, Ont. Set scores were 25-22, 12-25, 25-14, 25-16.

Six Durham College athletes named provincial all-stars - Feb. 25, 2010

OSHAWA, Ont. – Kicking of volleyball championship weekend, the Ontario Colleges Athletic Association (OCAA) announced its’ major award winners Thursday morning. The Lords received plenty of recognition as six Durham College student-athletes earned provincial all-star awards.
